Share Your Experience
You're now part of the From the Top family and we want you to share this experience with your friends, families, and communities! Our performers are the most powerful ambassadors for From the Top and Arts Leadership.
Here are some quick and easy ways to spread the word about your experience at From the Top:
-
Create a Facebook event to promote your show and spread the word about From the Top. Include a picture of yourself performing (Find one on our Flickr gallery), your show's broadcast time, a little bit of info about From the Top, and your thoughts about the experience. Invite all your friends and family. Check out Keitaro Harada's event as a great example, or see this screen shot.
-
Send an announcement to your local newspaper about your From the Top appearance. Here's a document to help you write your press release.
-
Write about your experience for your school paper or blog. Include links to your group's video on the From the Top Green Room blog and your show page on our website.
-
Speak up for the arts! Use this letter template to urge your local representatives to make funding for the arts a priority and share why it's important to you. Here's a good example of what From the Top Alum Jing Zhang sent to the governor of Indiana.
-
Perform and share your thoughts about the music and your From the Top experience somewhere in your community: your old school, a retirement home, a youth center, your library, etc. See what other From the Top alums have done here.
Are you interested in taking your alumni outreach to a higher level? Many past performers on From the Top have taken the next step in sharing their experience. Learn how you can too.
